Cleaning system for planetary mixers

Planetary mixers utilize an exceptional countercurrent mixing mechanism ideal for precast concrete producers making e.g. hollow-core slabs, paving stones or any type of architectual concrete items. These mixers deliver highly homogeneous mixtures even with complex formulations like fiber-enforced, self-consolidating or high-strength concrete mixes.  With sizes typically up to 4000 ltrs (output), these mixers are extremely fast while still being very thorough.

Since for this kind of quality concrete you can not afford having cross contamination of the following batches with product remaing in the mixer from previous production runs, cleaning is important for the quality of your concrete and contamination will cost you time and money! Therefore invest in an automatic cleaning system by WALTER, make sure to hit that button as often per day as you have the time and you can be sure to run a smooth ship all day long.

Based on the size and layout of mixing tools, inlets, outlets, and inspection flaps we'll have the right pump capacity and number and type of nozzle heads to make sure all areas are well covered and very little manual cleaning (such as a quick spray shot at the nozzle heads themselves to keep them free of any remaining concrete after the automatic cycle) is required. Our strong RD3 nozzle heads have more than enough power to reach all across the mixer and reach the mixing tools from all different angles, even for the larger models several yards across in diameter and 3 or even 4 "stars" of mixing tools. 

Keep it clean - keep it running! Cleaning and good housekeeping is preventive mixer maintenance and reduces wear on the mixer, hence saving you cost on mixer wear parts.
